Mayura is the Sanskrit word for “peacock”, which is one of the sacred birds of Hindu mythology. 

Legend has it that the peacock was created from the feathers of the divine bird, Garuda and is the “vehicle of consciousness” for Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, art, wisdom and nature.
